ABOUT ME
Hello beautiful beings, my name is Mahsima Anousha Fraysse, or Masi to most.. Welcome to my creative container.
In honour of the vision that I have for life path, I take the time here to celebrate the path I have been blessed to have explored so far, please join me on my journey of growth and connection:
The Yoga tradition has been a part of my life since the age of 6, as I would watch my mother move through asana postures in her pyjamas, with a sense of curiosity and amazement. Born to a Persian mystic mother and French father, I have always experienced the magic and beauty of unconditional love. Supported in my journey despite some growing pains along the way, I was able to explore the world from an early age and for this I have deep gratitude for the parents I chose as a soul seed.
My mother’s translations of the mystical poet, Rumi, still follow and guide me in my present day and my father’s deep work into consciousness allows me the space for conversation & illumination. This guidance ignited a deep appreciation of the multitude of cultures and lands that exist on this planet. From tiny villages in la foresta in Brazil to the Himalayan mountains of Kashmir, all of the places I have been have peppered and expanded my range of offerings today. The opportunity to absorb worldly music is one that I hold dearest in my heart.

Growing up, my focus was originally on art & design. With a deep appreciation for beautiful objects, I studied Art History at Leeds University. Art galleries, luxury fashion brands, artist studios and interior design was my area of work, all the while, still supporting my centring with my yoga practise, learnt at the Sivananda Ashram in Kerela, India.
Having a strong asana practise kept me sane and grounded, able to deal with difficult situations that would present themselves. Whilst my design skills are still a part of my life, teaching yoga became a priority when I started having visions of holding space for people in different parts of the world. My interest in the sacred yogic texts of The Bhagavad Gita, the Vedas and the Upanishads became my world. With this change finally accepted, my practice shifted dramatically.

From The Tapas (discipline in sanskrit) came a new window of consciousness and ability to connect to my higher self and my truth: to be in service to people and the planet. Having spent many years travelling back and forth to India studying traditional Hatha yoga and learning about the textile industry. I grew to become aware of the abuse of women in the ‘yoga industry’. So I chose to gather direct female-teacher-led Yoga experiences. This quest led me to Bali and the incredible Bex Tyrer with whom I have spent years studying alongside, and it is my honour and deep privilege to call her both my teacher and sister. Working one-on-one in a traditional Hatha apprenticeship together for many months, we began weaving in other elements of vinyasa, yin, restorative, womb flows and menstrual cycle awareness to create unique offerings to the world. Menstrual Cycle Awareness has been an enlightening experience. And the unlocking of this superpower’ has been a revolutionary act of self love. It’s incredibly empowering to be able to teach other women about this inner wisdom.

Subsequently I explored the world of the magnificent Angela Farmer in Greece. Angela diverged away from Iyengar as one of his original students and created a more wholesome and kind self-practise for her female form. Teaching women’s groups (and still does today aged 85!), her teachings focus on unravelling the female form, a gentle and nourishing approach rooted in nature. Damage to my lumbar spine disc was creating unbearable amounts of pain. With Angela, I learnt new ways of practise with healing spiral movements, similar to that of a fern.
My back injury had left me feeling helpless and separated from life. With Angela, I found myself weaving the pieces back together at a pace that nurtured and built my confidence. Having lived for over a decade in and out of the pain body, what I have learnt is to trust my process, to be kind to myself and to devote time to my healing. After spending some weeks at Angela’s house I returned with a calm knowing of how I could be in service to others.

The knowledge and wisdom from sacred plant medicines with traditional Yawanawa ceremonies became the next step of my journey. I spent some time in the Amazon forest of Acre, in Brazil, traveling with Hukena Yawanawa and my dear friend and teacher, Asi Rua. It was an unforgettable experience. Sleeping in a hammock each night blanketed in the sound of the Universe’s protection, I let go of all expectations. I was able to reflect that I had always held onto a need to view “spiritual masters'' with a degree of pedestalised reverence, and it was inspiring when I rediscovered that we are all divine beings. My time in Brazil was a multi-dimensional healing experience that I have been integrating ever since.

All of these experiences have given me the strong foundational layers to what it means to truly be of service for humanity. As in everything, there is light and there is darkness; and it is in the darkness that the seeds grow.
I have been living on the island of Ibiza since 2020 and I have found myself exploring and training in Integrative Quantum Medicine, a powerful form of energy healing. Ibiza has helped me own that now is my time to step up and step IN to my power even more. IQM has created the opportunity to offer healing at a distance across the world, which has been incredibly nourishing to clients of mine throughout the global pandemic. My Xen, our spirit body, is now more in tune with others than ever before. I no longer ignore the energies that don’t feel right in my space and feel sovereign in the blessing that is my being.
