embodiment practiCes to soothe the soul
Over the years as my practise has grown, changed and internalised, I find myself teaching what is true to me. This supports me to give wholesomely from an embodied loving place within my own experience, not from a training manual. Depending where I am in my cycle I will always be using my via positiva & negativa to cultivate wholeness of expression which I can share with you. You will very rarely see me teaching a ‘linear’ or ‘controlled’ practise as I like to move in between structure. My wish is to create a space where you connect with your soul, a space to listen more deeply and to call in curiosity and compassion towards yourself and for you to leave a class feeling divine.
I have created ‘The Inner Reverence Journey’ which houses all of my yoga practises so that you may receive an exciting selection each time we meet. This journey is for those of you who are curious and wish to explore different themes each week, as well as reoccurring ones that you wish to deepen.

1 - 1 Classes
Private yoga sessions that focus on creating a healthy and nourishing relationship between the teacher and student for maximum thriving. A discovery call identifies what the client’s physical, emotional and spiritual needs are. I aim to curate a journey that suit you specifically. As every body is different, this is a wonderful opportunity for the client to receive a class of purely dedicated presence, where we both can breathe life in to intentions or manifestations that you as the client choose. I integrate all paths of yoga so that you are able to get a full circle approach through the asana, meditation, deep relaxation, visualisation, mudra and mantra practises.
The aim of these private sessions is to empower the student on all levels.

YIN
A slow, grounding practise with longer holds focussing on the expansion and contraction of your fascia body. You will be on the Earth for the entire practise. Yin is a fantastic way to help breathe in more life into your connective tissue which holds your entire being together. I like to add in myo-fascial work with tennis balls and of course to give you a musical experience, soothing your nervous system and bringing you into a state of receiving.

RESTORATIVE
This restorative yoga class takes you on a journey through deep rest and restoration of all layers of the koshas which are your layers of being. The intention of this practise is to help you relax and allow your body to restore.
I begin each practice with a 20 minute breath meditation to allow yogis to settle into their parasympathetic nervous systems. This is either followed by joint restoring sequences through the Pavanamuktasana Series, juicy longer holds or specific restorative postures.

NIDRA
Nidra is one of my favourite practises to both give and receive. I am a big advocate for rest and this offering can be given as a separate entity or at the end of a practise for Savasana. I guide you through visualisations of certain areas of your body which allows you to melt into a very deep state of relaxation, to let go of fight or flight and nest into your parasympathetic state where you can rest & digest life.
My style of Nidra is influenced by Sivananda and Uma Dinsmore Tuli.

NOURISHING Vinyasa
Nourishing Vinyasa Yoga focuses on connecting the breath and movement with ease and strength through mindful placement. At its core is a balanced Hatha foundation with an embodied flow. I bring in elements of pranayama, mudra & mantra as well as a thoughtful music selection to accompany the full body prayers taking place. I enjoy blending in Somatic techniques, emphasising on the importance of feeling and being present to sensations in the body throughout the practice. I hold you accountable to stay in the flow and trust your bodies messages.

SOMATICs
Somatics works on a very intricate level of feeling sense from the inside out. We unfurl together. I have a deep respect for the practice of Somatics because it really helped me with my severe back pain. The structural therapy of Somatics can bring immense relief and awareness to injuries and places of sensitivity.
Care - Curiosity - Comfort
There will always be elements of Somatics in each of my classes.

WOMENS
My Womens Yoga classes follow a respectful pace in consideration with your moon cycle. I like to spend some time at the start going over where the women are in their cycle and how best I can support them by adding to their experience with shapes and movements. This falls into the rhythm of a gentle flow or yin class, bringing in elements of mudra and mantra for receptivity.
I am extremely inspired by both Bex Tyrer and Uma Dinsmore Tuli’s ‘Yoni Shakti’: a bible that every woman can benefit in reading.
